5 Easy Sustainable Swaps
Thinking about all the waste and all that you can do to live a sustainable life can get overwhelming but it doesn't need to be because even small changes make a difference. We don't need a few people doing it perfectly, we need lots of people trying and doing it imperfectly. Items might be an investment up front but saves money in the long run when you're able to use them over and over instead of always having to buy more.

Here are 5 easy swaps we've made to reduce our impact on the planet:
Bees Wax Wrap instead of plastic wrap. We've had ours for about 7 years and they still have plenty of life left!
Reusable silicone bags instead of single use plastic ziplock baggies. They are pricey but worth it. Ours are 8 years old and have held up great! You can freeze them, and even cook in them! We use them to cook ramen when camping. I've tried cheaper ones and they didn't hold up or last. Trader Joes also has some that have been great!
Non toxic cleaner in a reusable bottle instead of buying single use bottles of cleaner. (USE CODE: START40 to save 40% off bundles). We love Force of Nature because it's planet friendly, non toxic, and effective! We have also used Branch Basics concentrate for years and love it!
Reusable unpaper towels instead of paper towels. I'd actually recommend the ones from TRADER JOE'S, they are cheap and amazing! Probably one of my favorite eco-friendly swaps because they work so much better than paper towels. Super absorbent, textured to scrub, and of course reusable!
Laundry detergent sheets in plastic free packaging instead of plastic laundry detergent jugs. Some plastic laundry detergent jugs can be recycled if properly washed out, but most people don't which means all those huge plastic containers are ending up in land fills or worse. Besides the less waste, I actually prefer using the sheets because you can just toss one in without all the mess!
